Recycling Resources for Educators and Organizations

There's a lot of good general information out there about recycling, but the key to finding it is knowing where to look. On this page, you'll find links to websites that offer a good base of information about recycling, as well as some documents that the RecycleNOW Philadelphia campaign has developed for residents to better understand how recycling works in Philadelphia.

Handout developed by RecycleNOW that outlines what gets collected at the curb and where to take items that don't get collected curbside (hazardous waste, CFLs, computers and electronics). Prints two to a page.

Developed by Mount Airy Greening Net (MAGNet), this site is an A to Z guide of information about where to take those tough-to-recycle items.
Single Stream: Recycling Made Easy
Produced by Blue Mountain Recycling, the facility the handles Philadelphia's recycling, this video gives a great overview of how recycling is handled once it leaves your house.

The Digital TV Transition
The EPA's website about the February 17, 2009 transition from television stations broadcasting in digital and analog to ONLY digital. This website contains information about what this means for the television in your home, including links to apply for a converter box coupon. This information is also available in a downloadable PDF.
Department of Energy Kids' Page
Don't let the name fool you. This website is packed full of clearly-presented information that is of use to adults and kids alike.
